«Parma» -  is a Russian professional men's basketball team from Perm.

Parma was found in 2012. The basketball club was based on the Academy of Basketball run by Ministry of Sports of Perm Region and the Center of Sports Training Centre of Perm Region. Vyacheslav Shushakov, the former captain of Ural Great BC along with Vladimir Poluyanov, one of the best coaches of Russia, became a core of Parma coaching staff.
Parma participated in the Higher League of the Russian Championship in its first season. It was then when Parma overpassed all the major league teams in fan attendance of its home games (an average of 1400 spectators per game).
In season 2013/2014 Parma took part in the Russian Super League Championship.  It finished 11th in the Super League that season.
In season 2014/2015 Parma went on in the Super League and took part in the Cup of Russia as well.
In the off-season 2014/2015 Parma won the Open Cup of Udmurtia. This season itself was a turning point for the team. The constant leadership in the Super League lasting for 22 rounds had changed the rivals’ perception of Parma. The team had been taken as one of the leaders of the championship since then. Having finished the season in 7th place, Parma gained a great experience, at the same time giving its fans a lot of bright emotions at home games.

Parma was shortlisted in the Final Four of Cup of Russia for the first time in the history. The Executive Committee of the RBF chose Perm and MAC “Molot” for the game.

February 22, 2016 became a landmark date in the history of the club; Parma won the Cup of Russia defeating Zenith from St. Petersburg (97:65) in the final of the Cup of Russia.

On May 7, 2016 Parma finished its most successful season in its history becoming bronze medalists of Superleague 1. Parma secured a victory over Samara, a third in the series, on a court of Sukharev Sport Centre.

On July 16, 2016, Moscow hosted the Board of VTB United League, which approved the list of participants and the format of the championship in the pending season 2016/2017.  On the League Council Parma Basketball Club was represented by a delegation from the Perm Region. By the Council decision Parma Basketball Club has become a new member of the VTB United League.
