Coty Clarke was born July 4, 1992, in Antioch, Tennessee, USA — an American professional basketball player mostly playing on small forward position.

He began his career after graduating from high school at Lawson State CC College. After Clarke wasn't selected for the 2014 NBA draft, on August 19 he signed his first professional contract with the club of the second division of the Israeli Championship Hapoel Kazrin.  During his first season in Israel, he had an average of 19 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 interceptions per game, he also managed to bring his club to the semi-finals of the Leumit League. On September 25, 2015, Clarke signed a contract with famous NBA club -  Boston Celtics. However, he was expelled before the start of the season, appearing on the floor in preseason games only once.On October 31, Clarke signed a contract with the D-League club Man Red Cloves, Celtics farm club. On March 7, 2016, the Celtics signed a ten-day contract with him. On March 15, he debuted for the Boston Celtics, scoring 3 points in 3 minutes of playing time in a lost against Indiana Pacers. On March 18, a second ten-day contract was signed with him, but upon completion, Boston decided not to conclude a full-fledged contract with him, and Clarke returned to play for the Main Red Cloves.

On April 30, 2016, Clarke signed a contract with the Capitanes de Arecibo team from the Puerto Rican League, playing until the end of the season, after which he transferred to UNICS Kazan in July. The next season also spent playing in the VTB United League, but for the Saratov Avtodor. In 26 matches of the VTB United League, he averaged 20.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals in 30:36 minutes and became the most efficient player in the entire championship (efficiency coefficient 22.0). In April 2018, Clarke was recognized as the “April’s Most Valuable Player” of VTB United League.
